What is BioDynamic Breathwork?

The BioDynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System (BBTRS) skillfully combines specially designed breath techniques, conscious movement, touch, sound, gentle-cathartic emotional release and meditation.

BBTRS enables you to feel the full range of sensations and emotions available, while expanding your capacity to contain and support the free flow of your energy. This work restructures at a cellular level, supporting the opening of your spine, and ultimately transforms you into being increasingly present and conscious in your life. You open up to acceptance of yourself and others, celebrating life in its fullest.

How does a BioDynamic Breathwork Session flow?

A 1-on-1 breathing session lasts 75 (online) or 90 minutes (in-person). The continuous conscious breath forms the basis of the Session and allows your body to gently release on a somatic level by pendulating between activation and release. Energies ‘trapped’ in the nervous system can finish flowing, creating space, aliveness and more resilience. In addition to breath, sounds, movement, expression of emotions and touch can be part of the session. I accompany you on your journey by giving invitations and holding the space for you.

About Me

I am an adult educator and have been working for more than 10 years with groups and individuals in the areas of emotional expression, aquatic bodywork and touch. My background is Osho, Humaniversity, Contact Improvisation and NLP.

Since 2023 I am a certified BBTRS Breathwork Practitioner, giving 1-on-1 Sessions as well as facilitating Breathwork Groups, in the water and ‘on land’.

Working with the BBTRS Breathwork modality brings together beautifully all of my work up until now in my life and feels like ‘coming home’.

I am an American as well as a Swiss National and live in Zurich

What are contraindications for this work?

  • Pregnancy
  • Severe Heart Conditions
  • Epilepsy
  • Recent Injury or Surgery
  • Intoxication
  • Any psychotic conditions, severe PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder

What is a Breathwork Session not?

  • Breathwork is not a passive modality, instead it requires your active participation by breathing and staying present in your body.
  • Breathwork is somatic work on the level of the nervous system. It does not explicitly go into story and psychological layers.
  • Breathwork can have a therapeutic effect, it is however not a replacement for therapy. You are expected to be self-responsible for your own process.

Session Types – Scheduling – Prices

  • In-Person Sessions: Groups or 1-on-1 at my place in Zurich Wiedikon or can also be at your place if you are in Kreis 1,2,3,4,5 or 9.
  • Online Sessions: work surprisingly well!
  • Water Sessions: Take place in our Watsu Pool (35.2°) here in Zurich. Groups and 1-on-1.
  • Group Sessions: Biodynamic Group Sessions ‘On Land’ and ‘In Warm Water’ can be found here.

Practicalities for Sessions

Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move and breathe freely in.
Come to the Session neither with a full stomach nor hungry. It is recommended to eat a light snack about an hour before the Session.
